The Song Institute of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology is a small boutique-style practice, welcoming patients of all ages, from infancy through adulthood. With only two physicians and a tight-knit nursing team, our patients enjoy a comfortable, “like-family” experience. We pride ourselves on the time and dedication that we give to each individual patient, and you can be confident that we will provide the most advanced, evidence-based medical care. We serve patients in the South Bay area and the surrounding communities and are welcoming new patients at our office in Manhattan Beach, California. Dr. Charles H. Song and Dr. Andrew K. Wong provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for the full scope of the allergic and immunologic disease. From severe nasal allergies and exercise-induced asthma to persistent eczema and complicated immunodeficiency cases, we have the experience, expertise, and proper testing modalities to effectively diagnose and provide treatment plans for your specific conditions. Additional conditions which we frequently manage include: chronic rhinosinusitis, food intolerance, hives, angioedema, drug allergy, and chronic cough. Our most common tests include allergy skin prick testing for environmental and food allergies, patch testing for chemical skin sensitivities, pulmonary function testing (spirometry) for asthma, and fiber optic rhinoscopy for the evaluation of nasal and sinus disease. We also perform in-clinic food and medication challenges to rule out any suspected food or drug allergy. Finally, depending on the disease and testing results, we offer treatments such as allergy immunotherapy (better known as allergy shots), individualized asthma treatment planning, and biologic injection therapy for asthma and eczema.
